Phytoplanktonstake place in the beginning of planktonic food chain and micro algae are the food essentialsin marine fish hatcheries. In this study the effect of different concentrations of nitrate on the chlorophyll and lipid content of Chlorella vulgarisalgae was studied. The experiment included 3 concentration of nitrate i.e. 24.71,12.35and 6.17mgNo3-NL-1 with 3 replicates. In this experiment pure stock of green algae Chlorella vulgaris and medium F/2 Guillard (with change in nitrate concentration in treatments) was used in vitro. After a certain period, samples were taken for analysis. The results showed that chlorophyll-ain the 24.71concentrationwas more than the other concentrations andmeasured as278 𝜇g/L. At the end of the experiment, the amount of fat in the high nitrate concentration medium was 56.09% which was higher than the two other treatments. |
