Abstract:   (23 Views)
In order to investigate the effect of vermicompost and extract extracted from the marine microalgae Spirulina on some growth and yield traits of rapeseed, a pot experiment was conducted in a factorial format based on a randomized complete block design with 4 replications. The experimental treatments included spraying with spirulina microalgae extract at 4 levels (zero, two, four, and six percent) and different levels of vermicompost based on weight percentage, control (without vermicompost), 75 percent sugarcane bagasse + 25 percent buffalo manure, 50 percent sugarcane bagasse + 50 percent buffalo manure, 25 percent sugarcane bagasse + 75 percent buffalo manure, 75 percent date waste + 25 percent buffalo manure, 50 percent date waste + 50 percent buffalo manure, 25 percent date waste + 75 percent buffalo manure, 75 percent grape waste + 25 percent buffalo manure, 50 grape waste + 50 percent buffalo manure, 25 grape waste + 75 percent buffalo manure, and 100 percent buffalo manure. The results showed that the interaction effect of vermicompost I (25% grape waste + 75% buffalo manure) in 6% algae extract was significant on the traits. Thus, the highest number of pods per plant (67.25), the highest number of seeds per pod (30.75), the highest weight of 1000 seeds (3.75 g), the highest grain yield (7.70 g per plant), the highest index value (24.09%), the highest oil content and oil yield (44.81%) and (3.45 g per plant) were affected by this treatment, respectively. Also, the highest grain protein content was obtained in the interaction treatment of vermicompost H (50% grape waste + 50% buffalo manure) in the control, i.e. without algae extract (37.07%). The research findings indicate that adding vermicompost and foliar application of microalgae extract to rapeseed plants, compared to the control, has beneficial and increasing effects on the yield and yield components of this plant and can somewhat reduce the use of chemical fertilizers.
