This research was carried out seasonally from May 2009 to February 2010 in artificial reefs of Bahrakan coastal water (Khouzestan, Northwest of Persian Gulf). Totally 4 stations wereselected for sampling one site placed in old artificial reef (D) and three in new artificial reef (A, B and C). The samples were collected randomly by SCUBA diving at depth of 12m by throwing quadrate (0.25×0.25m). The collected specimens were transferred to laboratory foridentification and seasonalbiomass estimation. Chemical and physical factors of water including temperature, salinity, dissolvedoxygen, pH and turbidity were measured in each season and in each station by portable instruments. The relationships of environmental factors with biomass of10 specimens of sponges were studied. The resultsshowed that, the sponges were adapted to changes of temperature and salinity, namely with increase of salinity in cold seasons the biomass increases and vice versa.
