Abstract: (5486 Views)
In this investigation, theabundanceand biomass of Cyanobacteria was studied in relation to season changes and in the range of Tonekabon to Amirabad (in southern basin of Mazandaran Sea). Sampling was done in depths of 5,10,20,50 and 100 m ofTonekabon,Noshahr, Babolsar and Amirabad station. By samples were consequently fixed with formalin 2.5 and transferred to labratory for more studies. The results of theinvestigation indicated that most of 10Cyanobacteria species identified in this region areLyngbya sp. and Oscillatoria sp. This two species are the most aboundantamongCyanobacterias. This abundance varies from 56% in summer to 54% in autumn forOscillatoriaand 43% in summer and 40% in autumn for Lyngbya. Regarding the high temperature in summer season, the abundance of both species is 19 time more than autumn.
